Vixen by Jasmine Walls6/3/2023 ![]() ![]() Jasmine Wells: Super relatable! Just a completely fresh, new start for her.įor the older fans: we noticed you brought in Stella Maxwell, from Milestone Comics and the Dakotaverse. They're probably in the same age range, and they'll to be like "oh hey, yeah! I get how it feels to be like this and going to college." I just feel like it's good to start here. Cause a lot of the readers on Webtoon are younger, so they may not have seen her before. ![]() Manou Azumi: It's a really great introduction to her too. But we wanted something that felt really fresh, and we were like 'what if she's just, you know, leaving high school? She's entering college, she's going to a big, new city, and her life changes drastically.' I pulled a lot of inspiration from the Return of the Lion series. We wanted to appeal to the actual Webtoon audience and we were thinking, 'how do we want to approach this?' Vixen's been done several times as an adult, which is fantastic. Jasmine Walls: When I was approached to write the story, we wanted something that would really appeal not just to the already-fans, not just the people who were already familiar with DC, or at least with Vixen. What drove your decision to retell the story from the beginning versus her typical stories, where she's already an adult and an established hero in the Justice League? ![]()
